Our Care & Cleaning Process
Every Travel Bubbas item is carefully cleaned, checked and prepared between each hire using a consistent, documented process designed to meet high-quality hospitality standards.
1.
Collection & Controlled Return After each hire
All equipment is returned to our preparation area and kept separate, in dedicated rooms, from freshly prepared stock to ensure a clean, controlled workflow at every stage.
2.
Immediate Linen Removal
All bedding and soft furnishings are removed on return, including:
Sheets
Duvet covers
Pillowcases
Mattress protectors
These items are sealed and prepared for laundering by our professional, trained in-house cleaning team.
3.
High-Temperature Laundry with Anti-Allergy Detergent
All bedding and washable soft items are laundered between every booking using a high-quality anti-allergy detergent, suitable for sensitive skin and young children.
Items are:
Washed on high-temperature cycles (typically 60°C or above)
Dried thoroughly using high-heat drying cycles for additional hygiene
Fully cooled and carefully prepared before re-use
Bagged in clean protective packaging to keep linens fresh, clean and ready for the next family
Bedding is never reused between families. Fresh linen is provided for every hire, without exception.
4.
Mattress Cleaning & Hygiene
Every mattress is used with a clean, laundered mattress protector, changed between every booking.After each hire, mattresses are:
Thoroughly vacuumed
Steam cleaned
Carefully inspected under good lighting
Checked for cleanliness, odour, firmness and condition
Any mattress not meeting our standards is removed from circulation.
5.
Wooden Cots & Bed Frames
All wooden cots and bed frames are:
Thoroughly wiped down between every hire
Cleaned using child-safe, non-toxic products
Carefully detailed around rails, joints and touch points
Wood is allowed to dry fully before reassembly to maintain finish and durability.
6.
Car Seats
Car seats are cleaned and prepared in line with manufacturer guidance and safety best practice.
This includes:
Steam cleaning after each use
Removal and laundering of washable covers (where permitted) using anti-allergy detergent
Cleaning of plastic and hard surfaces with child-safe products
Inspection of harnesses, buckles and fittings
Visual safety checks to ensure correct condition and integrity
No harsh chemicals are used, and safety components are never compromised.
7.
Strollers & Travel Equipment
Strollers, buggies and travel equipment are:
Steam cleaned between each hire
Wiped down thoroughly around handles, frames, seats and wheels
Checked for smooth operation, stability and cleanliness
All items are left clean, tidy and ready for immediate use.
8.
Safety & Condition Checks
Before an item is cleared for hire, we complete a practical check including:
Structural integrity
Fixings and fastenings
Locks, brakes and moving parts
Overall condition and presentation
Any item not meeting our standards is serviced, disposed or removed.
9.
Final Inspection & Preparation
Each item undergoes a final visual and practical check before delivery to ensure it is:
Clean and fresh
Complete and correctly prepared
Ready for immediate use
10.
Hygienic Storage
Clean equipment and freshly laundered bedding are stored separately from returns in a clean, dry environment until delivery.

Delivered & Set Up Ready
On delivery, items are set up carefully and correctly, with bedding prepared where required — so everything is ready for your family from the moment you arrive.
